For the sixth consecutive year, France retained its position as the leading destination for international investment projects in 2024 – a distinction tempered by its thirdplace ranking in terms of job creation.

France has cemented its position as a leading destination for foreign investors. Foreign businesses are re-affirming their confidence, which was demonstrated on May 19, 2025, through the number of investment announcements at the eighth “Choose France” Summit, a key event for the economic attractiveness policy championed by President Emmanuel Macron.

Brady Corporation
Brady Corporation, listed on the NYSE, is an international manufacturer of comprehensive solutions for identifying and protecting people, products, and places. In August 2024, it announced the acquisition of Gravotech, a French leader in the marking and engraving markets, thereby strengthening its market position. The same year, Brady reinvested in two of its French sites, representing a EUR 4.5 million investment and the creation of over 20 jobs in France.

Happly
Canadian-based Happly AI is expanding into Paris (Île-de-France) with strategic support from Business France, which guided their location selection. Their award-winning platform uses advanced AI to help people match, apply and qualify for funding opportunities. The Paris region offers a strong ecosystem for Happly AI’s growth, innovation, and cross-border collaboration.

Carrier
Carrier France, a global leader in smart climate and energy solutions, owned by the American business Carrier Global Corporation, is strengthening its presence at its French headquarters in Montluel (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes). The firm is launching a new heat pump production facility as part of a total €12 million investment. This project is expected to create 60 new jobs by 2026. At the same time, Carrier plans to expand its R&D laboratories next door to the production facilities plants in the Ain region as part of an additional €13 million investment. These initiatives affirm Carrier’s commitment to supporting the energy transition and the decarbonization of heating and cooling equipment in Europe.
