Ellevio’s activities include providing electrical grid services to individuals and businesses, new connections for wind and solar farms, and electric vehicle charging solutions. Their electrical network spans 79,200 km, and their customers are located in seven of Sweden’s largest regions: Dalarna, Gävleborg, Värmland, Örebro, Västra Götaland, Halland, and Stockholm. Ellevio is a publicly owned company headquartered in Stockholm. It is owned by pension managers OMERS Infrastructure, Sweden’s 3rd National Pension Fund, Folksam, and AMF.
Electricity consumption in Sweden is expected to double by 2045. Ellevio, one of the largest owners of electrical network infrastructure in Sweden, has numerous electrical network construction projects driven by the goal of carbon neutrality. Securing references even for small or medium-scale projects can open doors to major Swedish or even Nordic projects.
This transition will require investments in electrical networks of SEK 670 billion by 2045 (approximately €59 billion).
