Demand for Bordeaux wines increases in Denmark

Exclusive Bordeaux wine tasting at the Hotel d’Angleterre

A professional wine tasting was held on Janury 22nd with the participation of 29 chateaux. The tasting assembled close to 180 Danish wine professionals. The Master Classes were led by the famous wine specialist Søren Frank (author of several wine books and journalist of the food and wine section of the major Danish newspaper Berlingske). During the Master Class the 2010 and 2015 vintages were presented.

Several world-famous châteaux participated in the event and presented famous appellations such as Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé, Lalande de Pomerol and Fronsac, representing the excellence of Bordeaux wine.

The success of this event confirms the increase of French wine export to Denmark (+7.1% in volume, +10.24% in value in 2019) and more specifically for Bordeaux wines with an increase of 12,04% in value, in 2019.
