Expo 2020 Dubai: We expected it for 2020, it will happen in 2021!
The United Arab Emirates will bring the world back together this year, for the launch of Expo 2020 Dubai : the first World Expo ever held in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia, which will also mark the 50th anniversary of the country. Set to welcome 192 participating countries and millions of visitors from across the globe for a period of 6 months, the event unveils a daily program to celebrate culture, collaboration, and innovation.
Aiming to build partnerships and inspire ideas that will forge the future, the Expo subthemes are: Opportunity, Mobility and Sustainability, a lead wire to guide the participants on this unprecedented experience in the Arab world.
Country of heritage, history and modern art France has been an active contributor to World Exhibitions since its beginning. The Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) which is the intergovernmental organization in charge of overseeing and regulating World Expos since 1931 is set in Paris, so as the Eiffel Tower, that was built especially for the Exhibition of 1889!

Entitled “Light, Enlightenment “, the theme and the architecture of the France Pavilion reflects a desire to promote renewable energy and to recall the key role played by the philosophers of the Enlightenment in the 18th century, that spreads, in France and around the world, the foundations of modern democracy and the circulation of ideas and knowledge.
This notion of progress will be at the heart of the France Pavilion and the common thread running through its permanent exhibition and events program, which will be deployed in various formats and supported by many project leaders committed to building a more resilient, audacious, and creative future.
The French Pavilion’s ambassadors: Jessica Préalpato and Thomas Pesquet both embody the values of boldness and French Art de Vivre that inspired the French Pavilion. Jessica Préalpato in her field as a French Pastry Chef who is committed to better living and environmental protection, and Thomas Pesquet, French astronaut who is dedicated to science and innovation with the European Space Agency.
