“Espace France” at the 1st edition of the Africa Health Ex-Con Egypt

Egypt: April 14th, 2022- With a population of over 100 million, Egypt is the most populated country in the Middle East, accounting for half of the population of this area.

Thereby, the demand in the health sector is substantial. The Egyptian budget devoted to this sector for the fiscal year 2021/2022 is estimated at around €15 billion, an increase of 7% compared to the previous financial year 2020/2021.

In addition, in July 2019 Egypt officially launched the establishment of a new social security system: Universal Health Insurance (UHI) is the main tool for reforming the sector of healthcare. The project will be completed during a period of 10 years.

Given the growing weight of the health sector in the Egyptian economy, the Central Purchasing Authority “Unified Purchasing Authority (UPA) is organizing, on June 5, 6 and 7 in Cairo, the 1st edition of the Africa Health Ex-Con. Placed under the high patronage of the President of the Republic H.E. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, on an area of more than 60,000 square meters, more than 2,500 exhibitors are expected.

Business France Egypt will have a stand around which will be built the “Espace France”, intended to accommodate the French offer, SMEs, ETIs and multinationals.

Africa Health ExCon, as its name suggests, is set to become, from its first edition, the unmissable event for the healthcare sector on the African continent.
