United Arab Emirates – November 2021, On the occasion of the closing day of the “Cities” fortnight at the Dubai World Expo, Paris Region, sponsor of the French pavilion, has been in the spotlight on November 12 and is organizing, under the coordination of Choose Paris Region and Visit Paris Region, a seminar entitled “Attractiveness of the Paris Region”, which was focus on the Region’s two main areas of attraction, namely economic and tourism attraction.

With 12 million inhabitants and a GDP of €730 billion, Paris Region enjoys a leading economic position in Europe. It has more than 500,000 companies, 29 Fortune Global companies, 500 headquarters and 150,000 researchers, making it one of the most competitive regions in terms of research and development, innovation and entrepreneurship.

Paris Region was named “European City and Region of the Future” by the Financial Times FDI Intelligence Review for the foreign direct investment it receives.

The Region’s attractiveness is particularly boosted by the hosting of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris in 2024 and by the Grand Paris Express project, which involves the construction of 200 km of new metro lines and 68 new stations and surrounding districts.
