French Architecture Tour: The French approach to the Sustainable & Desirable City

Meet the 12 French architecture firms ready to design the cities of Tomorrow!

United Arab Emirates – November 3rd, 2021: Business France, the national agency supporting the international development of the French economy, organized a five-day business meeting tour in Riyadh, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi, for 12 French architecture landscape and urban design firms, in partnership with the French Overseas Architect association (AFEX). From October 31st to November 4th, a tailor-made program with targeted Saudi and Emirati public and private key stakeholders as well as project decision makers was scheduled.

In line with France’s environmental ambitions, Saudi and Emirati authorities along with developers, are looking for a valuable expertise that focuses on sustainability and innovation for their numerous projects. Moreover, French expertise in architecture and urban planning is recognised by the Saudis, who are currently seeking partnerships with international companies.

This business expedition started in Riyadh with collective meetings with the Saudi Ministry of Culture, the Royal Commission for AlUla, its partner the French Agency for AlUla development (AFALULA) and top Saudi contractors, including Al Bawani and El Seif Engineering; followed by business meetings with major real estate developers in Dubai & Abu Dhabi such as Diamond Developer, Majid Al Futtaim, Aldar Properties and Imkan.
